Boeing Mentor for the Robohobos for the last 2 years, the Oldroyds have been active supporters and participants in Parkway North Robotics Teams for several years.  FIRST Robotics is an exciting activity for high school students, and the ability to work with professionals serving as mentors contributes substantially to their educational broadening in science, engineering, technology and math.  My participation is also fun, even though that participation is usually limited to being a teacher, guide, ”go for” or “cheerleader”.  Seeing the students advance in so many areas of knowledge and skill is quite rewarding.
